What is Discipline in a BDSM context and why isn't it spoken about more directly more often... I assume it's more than punishment as that seems to often fall under the masochism aspect of BDSM... BUt it also has a different tone to it when it is paired with Bondage compared to what I know of the word in general... I don't know TBH. Just wondering if anyone can give me some examples of uniquely Discipline style BDSM moments/scenes that do not contain other aspects of BDSM strictly speaking...

Yes descipline means setting rules and making sure that it's followed.
The rules and how many rules depends on the individual.
Just a simple "No orgasm without my permission" can also be descipline.
 
Discipline in BDSM is the practice in which the dominant sets rules which the submissive is expected to obey. When rules of expected behaviour are broken, punishment is often used as a means of disciplining
